It was on her first feature, Nowhere Boy, that the artist-turned-director met her future husband Aaron Johnson. After the pair married and meshed their surnames together, the Taylor-Johnson welcomed two daughters into the world, Wylda Rae, four, and Romy Hero, three.
'He's a backyard dad,' Sam says of her young husband. 'That's someone who wants to play with the kids in the backyard, cook dinner. He didn't want us to have a nanny. 'He's the sort of person who puts family above everything. I'm very blessed with the perfect husband.
'I can't drag him to a party. The worst thing I can say to him, "We're going to a party tonight." He's more grown-up that I am.'
